Glass Fusing

Course Description: In this class, students learn about the types of glass and how to cut it; how to use the equipment;  inclusions;  metals and punches;  grinding;  sand blasting;  sawing;  etching;  and wire wrapping.  Students can expect to pay up to $30 for tools, plus approximately $20 for starting glass. Students may purchase dichroic glass for about $30 per pound.  In addition, there are several workshops offered throughout the year in advanced glass techniques.    Students provide their own tools and glass.

Prerequisite: None.

Note: Special workshops are taught throughout the year on slumping, draping, and screenprinting on glass.
